Anna, a medical student, flees her seemingly perfect world for Brazil. The first few weeks she spends in Rio de Janeiro exceed all her expectations. She meets new people and experiences new ways of life, and begins to question her own existence.

Gabriel introduces her to a world that seems free and carefree. And so she doesn't notice how initial pleasures become routine and how the man she has fallen in love with gradually changes.

Anna inexorably becomes entangled in a web of violence, drugs, and crime.
